Dear Ms. Anderson:

Thank you for forwarding documentation of your concerns, pursuant to our
conversation late Monday afternoon.

As I indicated to you, I have contacted U.S. Bank's Fraud Liaison Center
on your behalf to ensure that the compromises of your Internet Banking
profile received appropriate review and follow up.

It is true that you will be required to close your existing checking
account and establish another new account due to the most recent
compromise of your User ID information. U.S. Bank is maintaining a hold
on this account that will enable us to accept deposits, but prevent any
withdrawals from occurring. At your earliest convenience, please call the
Fraud Liaison Center at 1-877-595-6256 to initiate the process of a new
account. Upon the completion of this replacement account, you will be
able to make any permissible form of withdrawal from it. Please be
assured we have no intent of delaying the payment for your home equity
account, yet this hold will remain present until a new account is
established.

We are sorry for the inconvenience that you have experienced in this
matter, and strongly encourage you to immediately scan your computer and
keyboard for any virus or spyware that may be present. U.S. Bank has not
had any breach of our information protection systems, so these two
compromises are clearly the result of an issue in the protections you have
estalished on your PC. There are many very good anti-virus programs
available to consumers, so we suggest that you research the product that
best suits your needs.

With regard to your request for identifying information regarding the
parties who may have perpetrated these compromises, U.S. Bank is not at
liberty to divulge this information. We maintain a full level of
cooperation with the appropriate law enforcement to address issues of this
nature, but we cannot provide you with any other feedback in this regard.

We look forward to your cooperation in establishing a new account and in
maintaining the safeguards necessary to utilize Internet Banking.

Sincerely,

William Williamson

Dear Sharon L. Anderson,

Thank you for using U.S. Bank's online services.

I apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with regard to your
U.S. Bank accounts. While I can certainly understand your frustration,
unfortunately, the current account will need to be closed as your Personal
ID became compromised due to a know fraudulent out of state internet
location. The Personal ID is currently disabled and a credit only hold has
been placed on the existing account. The information I've provided is the
information remarked on the account as we do not service or begin fraud
claims within our department. I apologize for any additional
inconvenience. I would need to refer you to contact our Fraud Liaison
Center at 1-877-595-6256 for further assistance. Representative's are
available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I also noticed a remark placed by our Executive Unit today. Therefore, I
forwarded your email to the Executive Unit area for review.

Once again, I am sorry this situation occurred. We appreciate you
contacting us via email.

Sincerely,

Shana Nadeau
